Lugar: Fuente del Recinto Ferial
Co-commissioned by Art2Action, Grinnell College, and the National Performance Network (NPN), nationally acclaimed choreographer Celeste Miller collaborates with Dora Arreola, Artistic Director of Mujeres en Ritual Danza-Teatro, to create a new physical theatre/dance work with text, performed with Miroslava Wilson, Artistic Director of Pendulo Cero Danza Contemporanea. Developed through a cross-border, multi-site process in the collaborating artists' locations -- Tampa, Atlanta, Grinnell in the U.S., and Baja California, Mexico, At Water's Edge / Al filo del agua is an outdoor, site-specific, interactive performance that asks: What are the borders that divide you? What are the frontiers you approach? What are the edges you evade? Where do we find hope—in our bodies, songs, stories?Â
WOMEN AT WATER'S EDGE / MUJERES AL FILO DEL AGUA is a National Performance Network (NPN) Creation Fund Project co-commissioned by Art2Action, Grinnell College, and NPN. For more information, visit www.npnweb.org. Additional support provided by the Ford Foundation.
