Art2Action offers short-term residency support for women-identified, LGBTQ2+ artists, writers of color, and creative allies who are developing new work, providing valuable focused time for writing, studio explorations, community engagement, professional development and more. Current spaces available for artist residencies include:

NYC – An East Village studio ideal for writers who need a room of their own, or performing artists who need to be in New York City for projects or professional development.

Tampa – A forest get-away in Tampa, Florida, for 1-4 artists including 2 rooms, a shared bathroom, ample outdoor space, and a movement/rehearsal studio with a sprung wood floor.

At this time, residencies are available by invitation only.

Quotes From Artists:

“The Artist’s Enclave gave me much-needed time & space to rest, process, write, and catch up with myself. I am working on my second book of poetry called Reverence...I now feel empowered to release it independently and I am grateful to breathe new life into it through this residency. Forever grateful.” – Ashley Wilkerson (Actor/Poet)

“The residency provided me with the ability to do the key practices that nurture my process for creating work and living life with needed space and wholesomeness." – Pearl Ubungen (Choreographer)

“I am extremely grateful to Art2Action for providing me the space and freedom to finish writing my play, Carmen from Mexico. The studio in New York was perfect to focus on my autonomous work during the day, and to be inspired by all the local art at night. Mil gracias to Art2Action's staff for making me feel welcome and supporting original stories by women of color!” – Anna De Luna (Actor/Playwright)
