Reflection Session #16: Final Reflections
Tuesday, December 14, 2021
6-7:30pm Central / 7-8:30pm Eastern
Our final Reflection Session will feature never-before-seen clips of the live stage production of "Eleven Reflections: San Antonio," which premiered on November 20, 2021 at the Carver Community Cultural Center. We'll hear from participating artists and community members, such as San Antonio's Poet Laureate Andrea "Vocab" Sanderson, Flamenco dancer Tamara Adira, Egyptian community organizer Lilly Guindy, and more! Join us in the Zoom room, to share your reflections on this multi-year journey!
This event is the LAST in a series of Reflection Sessions launched in September 2020 by Art2Action and the Carver Community Cultural Center, which continued through the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 and beyond, in conjunction with our 2021 community-engaged theatre project "Eleven Reflections: San Antonio." These online sessions are live, interactive, art-based, participatory events reflecting on our nation in the post-9/11 era. Each session is grounded in performance excerpts, conversations with guest artists, and facilitated community dialogue. This series is part of Art2Action’s larger initiative, Eleven Reflections on the Nation (supported in part by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Arts “Building Bridges” program). We hope you'll join us for this culminating conversation!
